Envisioning 2025 at LTCC

*Please read Ephesians 4:13-16.

Let’s be on the same page as a church regarding our Mission and Vision here:

  • MISSION - Something that states the purpose or goal of an organization.

  • LTCC MISSION - “Loving God by helping people follow Jesus”

  • VISION - Ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.

  • LTCC VISION - “Joined Together on the Journey with Jesus as we PRAY . GROW . GIVE & GO”

LET’S UNPACK IT

“Joined Together on the Journey with Jesus.” Jesus’ disciples follow Him with their local church. Acts 2:42-47. Discipleship ONLY happens as we follow/journey with Him together. Jesus’disciples are not independent. We are interdependent. We envision four things we will do together:

PRAY - that we grow closer to the Lord in every aspect of our lives. Pray and fast, pray through the church directory, pray with spouse/family/friends, join Prayer Triplets, come to corporate prayer before and during service, hold monthly prayer nights at the church.

GROW - in relationship to and knowledge of Christ and His people according to his Word. Join Intentional Discipleship studies and other groups studies. Be an “Oreo” and disciple an individual. Have someone disciple you.

GIVE - of our time, talents, and treasures to come alongside and help people in the name of Jesus. Find and use your spiritual gifts in your church, financially support your church.

GO - give the good news about relationship with God through Jesus. Evangelism prayer lists, carry GOSPEL cards, know/do 1 Peter 3:15.

Love,

MISSIONS

Deacon

TOGETHER

“I will go down into the mine that is India, but you must hold the rope.”

This quote from Missionary, William Carey, applies to all believers.

We are called either to go down into the mine or we are called to hold up the rope. The missionaries we support count on us for prayer and monetary support. The fruit of the mission field is possible by us holding onto the end of that rope through prayer, giving and encouragement.

At Lake Tapps Community Church is God asking you to be more involved in missions, take on a leadership role, serve in seniors, mens, womens, youth, childrens ministries or maybe even helping with facilities? When serving, you will not be alone. There will be someone holding onto the other end by supporting you in prayer and encouragement.
