Our Journey
The other day I was pondering just how much LTCC is in a similar place as Israel was at Mount Sinai as they were preparing to undertake their 40 year journey?
Israel had come through a stressful experience as they left Egypt. LTCC has come through a stressful 2-3 year transition from where we were as a church to where we are now.
Israel had been given some new laws to govern themselves and to worship the LORD. LTCC has a new set of by-laws and updated constitution.
Moses was given 70 new leaders to help him govern Numbers 11:16-25. LTCC has some new elders and deacons to lead us.
Israel was about to begin a 40-year search as a nation for a new homeland. LTCC is continuing our search for a new pastor.
Israel wouldn't go on their journey unless the LORD went with them Exodus 33:12-15. LTCC is seeking the Lord to lead us as we continue our pastor search through prayer triplets and fasting and prayer.
This week is the first whole week of the month in which we are jointly observing a time of fasting and prayer. If you are able, you are invited to assemble at the church this Saturday at 6:00 pm for a short time of prayer and celebration of the faithfulness of the Lord in leading us on our journey with Jesus.

Thank you to all who attended our annual meeting in December and provided input regarding our 2025 budget. Our discussion surrounding our imbalanced budget made me think about how God has provided to the many people in the Bible and how He has provided for us. The first time that God provided for his people in the Bible was in the Garden of Eden. Shortly after Adam and Eve sinned, God provided clothing for Adam and Eve after they realized that they had sinned. God is gracious to his people.
There are many more examples of how God provides for us as individuals and as a church. In 1 Chronicles 29:11 – King David reminds the people that “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.”
God will provide LTCC with a pastor and with just enough funds and helpers that the church needs.
