Good Morning LTCC

This week we wanted to give you an idea of what has been happening in Family Ministry (children and youth) and where we are heading this fall. Below is a brief write-up from Justine on Children’s Ministry and then a word from me, Nathan, on what we’ve got planned for Youth Ministry this fall.

From Justine:

After a summer spent learning about the gospel through 9 words that start with the letter “C”, this September our Children’s Ministry will begin a new series using The Gospel Project for Kids curriculum. Both Children’s Church and Adventure Club will work in tandem through the lessons each week, with Adventure Club highlighting a few spiritual disciplines along the way.

In addition, there are Park play days, a winter celebration, and Christmas choir on the schedule. A huge THANK YOU to those who volunteered to teach Children's Church in July and August. The kids were blessed by having different voices sharing God’s Word with them and the teachers were blessed by getting a much-deserved break. May the gospel truths that they poured into kids this summer be seeds that sprout into a bouquet of faith in the future.

From Nathan:

As we look to the fall, we are excited for what we’ve got planned for middle school and high school students. On Sunday, September 18, Youth Group will be kicking off a conversational series entitled “Short Answers to Life’s Biggest Questions.” Each Sunday at 4:30- 6pm we will have some games and then spend time exploring some of the major questions facing students today. No issue/question/objection will be off-limits! If you have or know a high school student asking some big questions about faith and life, this could be the perfect place for them. I will be leading and facilitating these conversations.

Our annual Thanksgiving dinner will be in November and the Christmas party in December, which are great outreach opportunities.

We are anticipating great things in these areas of ministry at LTCC this fall. If you have any questions for us in this regard, do not hesitate to get in touch.
