BRENT ALLAN | LAY ELDER
I began attending Lake Tapps Community Church with my wife, Patti in 2015. After serving for 20 years in several areas of ministry in a church outside the Lake Tapps Community, we were excited when God called us to serve right here in our own community. Solid Gospel teaching, a warm welcome, and building relationships easily confirmed this was our new church family. We enjoy continuing to study God’s Word leading a small group in our home that began many years ago. Raised in a Christian home, it was not until high school in 1969 that I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior at a weekend Youth for Christ retreat. I am often called to serve where there is a need, most recently with facilities, greeting, scripture reading, and the transition team.
I have a passion for the gospel and compassion of Christ to be shared with the underprivileged throughout the state as board president of the Christian non-profit Compassion Washington by fighting human trafficking and providing free medical and dental clinics. We are thrilled that the LTCC family has been so involved in this outreach ministry each year coming alongside other like-minded churches in the area to help people follow Jesus. Patti and I have also served in short term missions three times in Nicaragua and in Uganda.
Patti and I have been married for over 52 years and are blessed with 3 grown children that live nearby, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. It was an honor to serve in the US Air Force, then as Facilities Superintendent of an Air Force base and eventually the Portfolio Director for the Public Building Service NW Arctic Region. I am excited about our Lake Tapps family growing even closer together as we lean in to what God has planned for us, and our community.
