LYNN HURLEY - SENIOR MINISTRIES DEACON

Nancy and I will celebrate 54 years of marriage in December 2023.  We have two married daughters who each blessed us with Godly husbands and 2 grandchildren.  We have lived in the north end of Seattle since 1976 and attended our last church for almost 35 years, the last 10 of which I served as lay elder.  We moved to Bonney Lake in 2015 and joined the church to be with our daughter Amalea Maxfield and her family.  We experienced Lake Tapps Community Church and Tim Heath through the years of grandchildren’s programs growing up (They’re both in college now). 

The Lord has been part of our lives throughout our marriage but not always a major focus for me.  Jesus started becoming real in the fall of 1979 thru life’s misadventures and Bible Study Fellowship.  Christ has revealed himself through disciplined study of his Word, the loving support of a believing wife, as well as fellowship of a Godly pastor and church.  It became apparent that the single set of footprints during life’s challenges were not mine but His. 

I thank God for allowing me to give back to the church and in the process, I get to fellowship with good friends.
