Leeanne needham | WOMEN’s MINISTRY DEACON
ALSO SERVING AS CLERK UNTIL THAT POSITION IS FILLED
I was born in Seattle and raised in Issaquah. After the sudden death of my infant brother, my family began seeking Jesus, but as a 4-year-old, it was difficult to understand why God would allow such a tragedy. During my early years, my parents, Gary and Linda Warne, helped me memorize Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Believing this is true has given me hope throughout life’s ups and downs. My parents also instilled in me a habit of focusing on the character of God and His sufficiency, regardless of situation or circumstance. In the last decade, there has been very significant loss in my life but as I have pressed into God, I have found Him faithful and true and the absolute anchor of my soul. HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS!!
The Lord has blessed me with three wonderful adult children and two sons-in-law, who are all walking with and serving the Lord. I cherish the opportunity to do life with them. I am thankful for the new home the Lord has provided with plenty of space for family, friends and my two large Old English Sheepdogs. God has blessed me with the gift of hospitality, and I love opportunities for deep, meaningful conversations over a good cup of tea and my recently perfected scone recipe!
I am presently a teacher/librarian at Cascade Christian Schools with the opportunity to share Jesus’ life and love with over 300 students weekly. I am currently pursuing certification as a Biblical counselor and love the opportunities to come alongside people and point them toward Jesus. Past ministry experience includes opportunities such as Community Ladies’ Conference Director, Christian Education Director, Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Registrar, Homeschool Co-op Director, Bible Study Leader and Women’s Ministries. I am pleased to now serve the body at Lake Tapps Community Church as Women’s Ministry Deacon & Council Clerk.
