brian peterson - elder
I began attending LTCC with my wife and three children in 2009. The solid, gospel-centered preaching and loving people of LTCC compelled us to commit to membership soon after. I began serving on the leadership team in 2013 and transitioned into the role of a lay elder in 2015.
I grew up in a home with faithful parents who not only raised me in the instruction in the Lord but also modeled it. Understanding my need for Jesus at a young age, my parents nurtured that relationship with Christ. During my college years and beyond, the Lord has been gracious to provide faithful men who also showed me "the Way”. Making disciples of Jesus who make more disciples of Jesus (Matt. 28:18-20) is the passion and focus of my life.
In 2006, I co-founded Reality Sports, a sports ministry that aims to proclaim the gospel and make disciple-makers in the context of sport. This has been my full-time job for the last 17 years, and it has been incredible to see God work in the lives of people as we meet them where they are in the athletic arena. My desire is to see a revival and a harvest in our region, and I believe LTCC is a key fellowship in making that a reality.
It is a blessing to be a part of the LTCC family with my wife Justine where we have seen our three children grow up in their faith. Marcus (23) and his wife Whitney live in Buckley with their daughters Brexley (2) and Eisley (newborn). Karli (21) and her husband Reese live in Kirkland, WA where they are both Music majors at Northwest University. Luke (19) is a freshman at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ studying graphic design.
