trista sutherland - Connections & Administration | love one another Benevolence MINISTRY
Our family began attending LTCC in 2007, and we truly have been privileged to experience the joy of a “family growing together” ever since. Like many, we immediately felt at home and have loved the people and teaching (& Mayfield Lake camping trips) immensely.
My husband, Jason, and I met at the University of Washington in 1995 and married in 1996. We have two adult children: Marlia (24), is employed as an RN in Tacoma and is in the midst of her master’s program; and Alex (22), is living and working in the Olympia area while he decides what’s next for him.
I have worn many hats in my life, and I am in constant awe at how God continues to place opportunities in front of me that prepare me for the next one. God provided me with a husband and an education in information systems that allowed me to work from home and be a stay-at-home mom for many years. He used that time to prepare me with skills that would be useful in volunteer work in our community, in the church, in the kids’ schools and working with non-profits.
I love to serve, and God has opened many doors in this area. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to serve Him in the church as a preschool director and teacher, on the worship team, and now on the church council as the Love One Another benevolence team leader and deacon of Connections & Administration.
I look forward to continuing this work in the coming year, getting to know more people and the needs of our body, growing in my knowledge and love for the Lord, and serving this church as the Spirit leads.
