Joy in the House of the Lord
There’s joy in the house of the Lord.
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today.
We sing to the God who always makes a way.
Why?
’Cause He hung up on that cross.
Then He rose up from that grave.
And our God’s still rolling stones away.
This week, we remember two of the most powerful days in all of history—Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday—and we celebrate with deep and lasting joy.
On Good Friday, we remember the cross—not with despair, but with gratitude. Jesus gave His life for ours, carrying our sin and shame so that we could be free. “But He was pierced for our transgressions… and by His wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) The curtain was torn, access was granted, and grace was poured out.
On this Resurrection Sunday, joy overflows because Jesus is alive. The tomb is empty. The grave has lost its power. Our hope is alive, and our future is eternal. “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” (Matthew 28:6)
So yes—there is joy in the house of the Lord.
Because we are a people redeemed.
We are a people loved.
And we are a people raised to life with Christ.
There’s Joy in the house of the Lord.
There’s Joy in the house of the Lord today, and we won’t be quiet.
We Shout out His Praise!

Our website is a great way to stay connected at LTCC. I recently spent time looking into each tab and I was amazed at how comprehensive it is.
Did you know that if you click on the GET INVOLVED tab and then “Join in Prayer” you will find current church-wide prayer requests for the week? Praying for our church family and community is one way our church family can support and love each other.
Previous Elder Encouragement and Deacon Ministry Minute articles can be found in the RESOURCES tab and then on the Ministry Update Blog. From that page you can also click on any author’s name to see all of the articles that person has written.
You can also register for an event by clicking into a calendar event or through the announcements page, check out a library book, learn about membership or baptism, and read about the 22 missionaries LTCC supports, just to name a few. You can even see your own personal serving schedule or giving history.
I would encourage you to visit the LTCC website and look around – there is a lot of information there for you!
