Teamwork
Dear LTCC Family,
I was reminded by a friend this week that belonging to a church is so much greater than, and is vastly different to, belonging to a club. Yes, we may officially join, becoming members, but we are members of the body of Christ, each incredibly valuable to the whole, not consumers of whatever is offered.
This can be a convicting notion, but I also find it incredibly encouraging. What a gift it is to belong to a body of fellow believers who has one goal; to honor God. We are a team seeking to fulfill the Great Commission as each part plays a vital role in making disciples!
For as in one body we have many members,[a] and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them (ROMANS 12:4-6A)
As I update you on some of the many functions in the church, please consider what your gifts are and how you may use them to work together as the body of Christ at LTCC.
Already serving with your gifts? Who can you disciple/train up to join you?
FIRST, SOME QUICK SERVING FAQS:
Who can serve on a team?
You can! Those new to LTCC, those who have been here for years or those who have "put in their time" are all encouraged and expected to serve. You may be learning to serve or discipling others to serve; either way, it is a gift to the body of Christ.
Would I be trained?
Yes! Training meetings will be held in late September.
When would I start serving?
The beginning of October, or whenever your schedule allows.
How do I sign up to serve?
Let us know you’re interested in serving here, or contact any ministry leader or office staff.
