On Mission!

At LTCC, one of the ways we celebrate the work of God is through our missionaries. We celebrate weekly through the Featured Missionary portion of our Sunday service, hearing updates and seeing videos of our treasured missionaries. Those videos have been an especially exciting addition recently! We also have been blessed by some in person updates!  We had the Poor family join us at our church campout for a week, and then again at our Sunday service, where many of you got to spend some quality time getting to know the whole family. We were also blessed to hear Brian Peterson’s update on the growing ministry of Reality Sports. And more recently, we had a chance to hear about the ministry of the Gideons.

We on the Missions Team are hopeful that these interactions with missionaries have drawn you to pray for and get to know them personally.  I am excited to tell you of some other specific ways you can be a part of our church’s engagement with missionaries through praying, growing, giving and going:

  • Connect with Sam Gaffney to pray and to give financial support for his short-term mission trip to Kenya.

  • Go to the Mission Fest Seattle annual event at Highlands Church in Renton on October 18-19 where you will be challenged and amazed at what God is doing throughout the world through missions.

  • Save October 25-27 for the annual LTCC Mission Emphasis Weekend and make plans to go to the following events! You will be sure to grow in your faith as you are encouraged by featured missionaries Marty & Jeanette Windle and Kevin Brubaker. (Registration will be open soon.)

“and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation, but as it is written, “Those who have never been told of him will see, and those who have never heard will understand.”

Romans 15:20-21
