Leading

Have you ever been some place that very few or maybe no one else has ever seen? Maybe on a hiking or camping trip, or possibly some isolated beach at the seashore. If you have, perhaps you saw a flower or a seashell or some other natural object. Did you notice how it was perfect in design? Why would God create something so perfect that possibly no one would ever see? Why wouldn't He save some time and create something quicker and with less effort like a stage prop that gave the illusion of reality? The answer is obvious. Everything He does is perfect - that's who He is. Creation itself is a picture of God.  In its beauty, its obedience to physical laws, its expanse, its variety or any other measurement you pick, it reveals His perfect character.

“1 The heavens tell of the glory of God; And their expanse declares the work of His hands. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge”. Psalm 19:1-2

With that in mind, I have a few words about how God is leading the Pastor search process. He's leading us in a way that is perfect. It glorifies Him when we take the time to carefully do the best job we know how; as we do the prep work, search for applicants, evaluate resumes and present a candidate for your consideration. Sure, we could take shortcuts to reach a result faster, but would that really honor the Lord? Would it be consistent with His character? I think not. We ask you to patiently keep praying for the Pastor Search Team (PST) that we will follow the Lord's perfect plan as He reveals each step as we search for our new Pastor.  As we look back on this time in our church life, we will praise God for who He is and how He's been leading us.
