Pause, Affirm, Restore, Resume

Since we are in the middle of our four step Pause, Affirm, Restore, Resume process, I thought it would be helpful to update you on the status of the Affirmation/Voting phase.  As of this morning, 63 of our 119 members have voted.  Of those voting, 22% have submitted the feedback form.  

 

We want to thank you for taking a few minutes to indicate how you engaged in the affirmation process and shared your thoughts and comments.  Be assured that the leadership appreciates your input and will factor this valuable information into the Restore and Resume phases.  If you have voted and not yet submitted the feedback form, we urge you to take a few moments to fill out the form.  You can find the form here. Voting closes next Friday, 1/27.

 

At our elder meeting this week, we noted the encouraging signs of some “normal” church life that’s happening here at LTCC.  Specifically, the number of Bible studies being offered and the number of people signing up for those studies shows a hunger for the word of God and a desire for Christian growth.  As we’ve noted several times, the number of people attending the pre-service prayer time and the depth of the prayers show a desire to seek the Lord as we wait on Him.  And we are delighted with the full sanctuary last Sunday.  The feeling of being in the presence of our brothers and sisters in the Lord reminded us that at the core of us all is the fact that we are a family of God.  

 

Finally, I remind you of our upcoming annual members meeting at noon following the service on January 29th.  It is a time to review the accomplishments of last year, receive the results of the affirmation/voting and to approve the budget for 2023.  In order to help you prepare for the meeting, we have assembled a pre-reading packet for your convenience. It can be accessed by clicking here (contact the church office for the password needed). If you are unable to physically attend the meeting, we ask that you report your excused absence to the Council Clerk Leeanne@Laketappscc.org
