Praying the Word
We were reminded that effective biblical prayer is a most urgent need for the church. Praying the Word of God is not new, so how can we pray His Word more effectively? We recently recited dozens of Paul’s model prayers for believers to glorify God, with eternity in mind. The biblical approach and inspired theology he uses are applicable to us today.
Let’s take this opportunity to dig into the Word of God to discover personalized biblical prayers for one another. We can write them on yellow stickies, save them in our phone notes, or just memorize them for loving prayer. And not only Paul’s prayers, the entire Word of God is our sword. Hebrews 4:12
“May the God of hope fill __________ with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit __________ may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
Lord God, “Give _______ a heart to know [You], that [You are] the Lord, [so that] they will be [Your] people, and [You] will be their God,” and may they “return to [You] with all their heart” Jeremiah 24:7
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give _________the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that (he/she) may know Him better. Ephesians 1:17
“We have not ceased to pray for _________, asking that (he/she) may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding…” Colossians 1:9

TREASURER
Deacon
As many of you know, I have recently become the Treasurer Deacon. I am sincerely thankful for Daniel Geske for his work over the years as the past Treasurer. Going forward with Trista Sutherland’s guidance and support, I am now overseeing a treasury TEAM! The team consists of myself as the Treasurer Deacon overseeing all the financial workings of the church, Steve Evans as Offering Manager, and Evelyn McOsker as Expense Manager. I thank the Lord for each one of these workers who are sharing the load and for their willingness to serve the LTCC family!
One of my first big tasks as I stepped into this position was to help prepare the budget for 2025. I look forward to sharing the details with you at the Member’s Meeting on Sunday, December 8th. Members, please watch your inboxes for a preview of the budget coming soon!
