Prayer & Fasting
The week of February 2nd-8th is going to mark our second fasting and prayer time of 2025. We are doing this as we seek God‘s will in getting our next Pastor. It is more than just that. We want to be as diligent as we can in drawing close to the Lord and His will for us in this next season at LTCC.
12 “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
and he relents over disaster. Joel 2:12-13
That first full week of February, pick a day and fast. If you can give up food for a day, great. If not, let it be another fast. It could be a fast from media, or some other thing that you spend a lot of time doing. Take the time that you usually use in eating or whatever you’re fasting from, and spend it in reading scripture and praying.
February 8, we will get together at church at 6PM to pray, sing, and share what God has laid on our hearts. Some worry about letting other people know that they have fasted. To me, this is not spiritual bragging. It is celebrating together what God is doing, and what He will do.
For the elders,
Pastor Bob

You may have noticed the Parsonage front yard being dug up recently—here’s an update!
A septic blockage was fixed thanks to the generous help of volunteers (Jason Sutherland, Gordy
Goodsell, and Al Kuehn), keeping costs minimal. Final yard repairs, including adding topsoil and reseeding, will happen in the spring.
Church property repairs and updates are ongoing, so there are always ways to get involved!
How you can help:
Volunteer your time. If you have a skill to share or just want to pitch in, reach out!
Encourage others. It takes a team to maintain the property, and encouragement goes a long way.
Pray with us. Please pray for wisdom, unity, and that the work done here may glorify God and
bless everyone who walks through our doors!
